Florida Troubled Teen Program

A unique program, for TROUBLED TEENAGERS in Northwest Florida is expected to payoff in big dividends in the next few years.

The West Florida Wilderness Institute is located outside of Ponce de Leon.

The facility is run by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

It takes in TEENAGE boys across the state who have been convicted of felonies.

Under a partnership with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, the youngsters will take care of the old race horses.

A similar horse program has proved very successful with state inmates in Florida.
