Cooper Plans Center for Troubled Teens
Rock veteran ALICE COOPER is to launch a new centre for troubled teens in his adopted Arizona in an effort to clean up one of America's worst areas for underachievement and teen pregnancies. The School's Out rocker is among the investors behind a planned $7 million (GBP3.5 million) centre on the campus of Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix. Phoenix regularly ranks among the lowest cities in student achievement and high in teen pregnancy and high school dropout rates. It is hoped that a residential treatment facility will provide the help that these troubled teens need.
